BREAST CANCER: WHAT EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO KNOW
Reports say that after lung cancer, breast cancer is the second most deadly and common type of cancer, which accounts for 1% of all deaths and 7% of all cancer deaths. Breast cancer is considered to the fifth common cause responsible for cancer deaths. Symptoms of Breast Cancer As a woman, you should be well aware of breast cancer, its symptoms and treatment. According to doctors, the subjective and first symptom of breast cancer is a development of a typical lump in your breast. This lump is quite different from the breast tissue surrounding it and you can notice it by careful examination. But, breast cancer is not only determined by the lump, which appears in your breast. Studies reveal that if you are having lumps located in the lymph nodes in your collar bone or armpits, you are more likely to have breast cancer. It is the mammogram, which is done by doctors in the region of the detected lump to confirm the case of breast cancer. But all women don't develop the same symptoms of breast cancer. Other indications of breast cancer apart from a lump include nipple inversion, skin dimpling, spontaneous single nipple discharge or change in ...
FIGHT CANCER WITH VITAMINS AND OVER THE COUNTER PRODUCTS
No word in the English language invokes such fear and dread as the word Cancer. When the control system that governs a cell's reproduction is damaged Cancer may be the result. It is the job of the immune system to detect and then kill them.
A mutation of the cell is the first step in the development of a tumor cell and is usually a small change in the DNA, which leads to a genetic instability of the cell. During Mitosis (cell division) the cell mutation is passed on to the daughter cells. Cancer cells continue to multiply in an unregulated manner. A single cancer cell is invisible to the naked eye but can continue to divide until a tumor is formed. Cancer is, ultimately, a disease of genes.
Tumors develop when uncontrolled cell division occurs and then spreads by direct growth into adjacent tissue through invasion, or by implantation into distant sites by metastasis (where cancer cells are transported through the bloodstream or lymphatic system).
Among the distinguishing traits of tumors is a large number of dividing cells, variation in nuclear size and shape, variation in cell size and shape, loss of specialized cell ...
GET RID OF CANCER ONCE AND FOR ALL
President Richard M. Nixon stated war on cancer during 1971 in the USA. All the billions of dollars spent on cancer research have gone into finding new ways of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. The conventional medical system ignored inexpensive, time tested, natural therapies used successfully for decades around the world. Millions of people worldwide have successfully been treated of cancer using low cost, natural, alternative cancer treatments since the 1920's. The cancer may start with just one or a few cells somewhere in the body and become malignant, or cancerous. The cells divide and reproduce themselves, and the cancer grows. Most cancers arise on the surface of a tissue, such as the skin, the lining of the uterus, mouth, stomach, bowel, bladder, or bronchial tube in the lung, or inside a duct in the breast, prostate gland, or other site. After that, they grow from a microscopic clump to a visible mass and would begin to invade underlying tissues. The cancer is localized as long as the cells remain in one mass. In a process called metastasis, some of the cancer cells split off and are taken into the lymph channels or bloodstream to the other parts of the body. ...
BREAST CANCER CAUSES – TREATMENTS
Breast CancerBreast cancer affects one in eight women during their lives. Breast cancer kills more women in the United States than any cancer except lung cancer. No one knows why some women get breast cancer, but there are a number of risk factorBreast cancer is a cancer that starts in the cells of the breast in men and women. Worldwide, breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer (10.4% of all cancer incidence, both sexes counted) and the fifth most common cause of cancer death.Breast Cancer CausesIn breast cancer, some of the cells in your breast begin growing abnormally. These cells divide more rapidly than healthy cells do and may spread (metastasize) through your breast, to your lymph nodes or to other parts of your bodyWomen who start their periods early (early puberty) or have a late menopause have a slightly higher risk of breast cancer.Women who are taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or have recently taken it, have a slightly increased risk of breast cancer. Detailed information about HRT.Although the precise causes of breast cancer are unclear, we know what the main risk factors are. Still, most women considered at high risk for breast ...
BONE CANCER
Cancer that begins in the bone is called primary bone cancer. Primary bone cancer is relatively uncommon in comparison with secondary or metastatic cancer (cancer that occurs initially in another organ and then spreads to bone tissue). Cancer may also develop in associated bone structures, including the marrow and the connective tissues. Some types of bone cancer may spread to other organs. With modern therapies, the outlook for many patients (especially those with primary bone cancer) has improved significantly. Symptoms of Bone Cancer: 1.Pain and tenderness in the affected bones. The pain is usually dull and localized and is often worse at night. Swelling or a noticeable tumor or mass around the site of a primary tumor. (Swelling generally does not occur with metastatic tumors.) 2.Greater susceptibility to bone fractures (as healthy bone cells are replaced by malignant ones). Causes of Bone Cancer:1.The cause of primary bone cancer is unknown, but hereditary factors, environmental factors, trauma, or excessive radiation therapy (to treat other types of cancer) may be involved. 2.Metastatic bone cancer most often stems from cancer of the breast, lung, prostate, thyroid, or kidney. Multiple myeloma (a cancer of the bone marrow) may also affect the bones. 3.The ...
AN ARTICLE ON CANCER
AN ARTICLE ON CANCER What is cancer? Cancer is the general term used for diseases in which normal cells separate without any control thus involving other tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to various parts of the body through the blood and lymph system. Wild cell growth turns into cancer when it is exposed to carcinogens (Cancer- causing substance) genetic defects, or viruses. A tumour is formed when cancer cells multiply large masses of tissue. In some cases tumours limit themselves to one spot in the body; some can be removed by surgery. These kinds of tumours may cause little harm and is termed benign. Hostile tumours are called malignant. The study of cancer is called oncology. Causes of Cancer People get lung cancer most of the time from smoking tobacco which is said to have carcinogenic substance mainly known as tobacco smoke. Some carcinogens include certain chemicals, the Sun’s ultraviolet light, and radiation. Cancer can be formed by several viruses by altering the DNA of a host cell and converting the cell’s normal genes into cancer – causing genes, or oncogenes. Genetic factors – such as chromosomal abnormalities or the inheritance of faulty genes from a parent ...
